All the Boos were gathered at the cliffs to figure out how to save Easter. I decided to go back to the chocolate warehouse to search for clues.
The door creaked when I opened it. I crossed my ears and closed my eyes and hoped, just for a second, that maybe when I opened them the chocolate would be back and everything could get back to normal.
I opened my eyes but all I could see was an empty room.
I got out a magnifying glass and started hopping around the room. I saw something in the corner of the room – what was it?
It looked like chocolate pieces at first, but when I got closer I could see it was a small pile of rocks. I got out an evidence bag and labelled it: Clue #1: rocks.
Out of nowhere I heard a spooky voice say my name: “Carroooooooooots Boooooooo,” I’m watching you.
I turned around. “Who said that?”
The voice whispered, “I did.”
Try as I could, I couldn’t see where the voice was coming from.
“You’ll never find the chocolate because I ate it. All of it.” said the voice.
My tail was shaking. My nose my twitching. My ears were cowering. But I had to ask. “Who are you?”
“I am the great Moai. You have been living on my island for too long. I ate your chocolate and and I’m still hungry.”
I was backed into the corner, afraid to move.
“And you are next on my menu,” it said, with a big, belly laugh.
That was all that I could take. I grabbed my evidence bag and sprinted out of the lab. I ran all the way to the cliffs to join the rest of the Boos at the meeting.
